ELPReady is committed to making its website and assessment platform usable by
as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technologies
such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation.
Our goal: to conform to the Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we
treat it as a continuing commitment rather than a one-time project.
What We Do
- Associate every form field with a visible, programmatic label.
- Provide meaningful alternative text for images that convey information, and mark decorative images so assistive technologies skip them.
- Specify a document language and a logical heading structure on each page.
- Design assessments to work on any smartphone, tablet, or computer with a browser, without requiring an app to be installed.
Known Limitations
Some parts of the platform may not yet fully meet every WCAG 2.1 AA success
criterion. Areas we are actively reviewing include color contrast on some
low-emphasis text, keyboard focus order in interactive components, and the
screen-reader experience during the timed, voice-based portions of an
assessment. The assessment itself requires a working microphone and the ability
to speak responses aloud; if that presents a barrier for a driver, contact us and
we will work with the driver's carrier on an alternative.
Ongoing Review
We test with automated tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks, and
we fold accessibility fixes into our regular release cycle. Because the platform
changes frequently, we revisit this statement periodically and update the review
date above.
Give Us Feedback
If you encounter a barrier to using this site or completing an assessment, we
want to hear about it and will work to resolve it. Please tell us:
- The page or step where you ran into the problem (a link or description).
- What happened, and the assistive technology, browser, and device you were using, if you know them.
Email support@elpready.com or use our
contact form. We aim to respond to accessibility
feedback within a reasonable time and to work with you on an accessible way to get
what you need in the meantime.
